This mug was a sample, it doesn't have any physical flaws.
Thrown on the wheel in Bennett's Filtered Stoneware, then coated in white slip when it was leather hard. I carved back through the white slip to reveal the brown clay beneath, and then glazed it in a glossy, crackly green glaze. The colour contrast of the white and brown clays is visible through the glaze.
