This vase was thrown on the wheel in Bennett's stoneware clay. It has been hand carved at the leather hard stage to create the pattern.
Glaze was applied all over. The glaze was then wiped back so that it is just left in the carving, creating beautiful shiny white lines that swirl all over the surface of the vase, contrasting with the raw brown of the clay.
This piece is one of a kind.
