This bottle vase is thrown on the wheel in Bennett's stoneware clay. It has been hand carved at the leather hard stage to create the pattern.
Glaze was painted on and the colour changes on the way down from a pale whitish blue down to a sky blue at the bottom of the piece. The glaze was then wiped back so that it is just left in the carving, creating beautiful pops of colour in the brown clay body. Fully glazed white inside.
This piece is one of a kind.
