Introductory adult pottery classes in the picturesque Adelaide Hills!

Wednesday Evenings 6-8pm - Dec 7 & Dec 14
Saturday Mornings 10-12am - Dec 10 & Dec 17

Intro to Wheel is the perfect way to dip your toe in the water, and give pottery a crack. We will be covering the basics of wheel throwing in the first week. You will learn how to wedge and centre the clay, and pull the walls up to create vessels. The second week is all about finishing, so we'll be flipping our pieces from week one upside down and finishing off the bottom, and adding handles to mugs, and surface decoration to the pieces. 

Please be aware that because of the time it takes to dry and fire pieces, the pieces made in the December short courses will not be available to take home until after Christmas.

Classes are held at Maddie's Balhannah pottery studio. Class sizes are very intimate, with only 4 students maximum, giving each student opportunity to have one on one time with Maddie. Once you have booked into the class, Maddie will send you some information about what to expect, cancellation policy and directions to the studio.
